On a testé.

On comprend.

We came all this way to try the restaurant's signature En-Croûte, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. The place is beautiful and elegant, with lovely music and ambiance - the atmosphere makes the entire setting brilliant for a romantic meal, especially if that is what you are after. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my time there.

The signature dish is a must-try. The perfectly golden crust, tender beef at the centre, and the fragrant mushroom filling are simply impeccable. The Madeira sauce that accompanied the Wellington was also quite incredible.

The chicken and duck parfait was also very impressive. The crunchiness of the bread and the kick from the red pepper on top complemented the sweet, creamy parfait wonderfully. The dessert was delightful as well.

However, I wouldn't recommend the escargot dumplings. Whilst I do enjoy escargots and appreciate the creativity that went into the creation of this dish, the fusion with dumplings didn’t quite work for me.

Given the high standards of both the food and service, I will definitely be revisiting this restaurant.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch at Charlotte indulging in expertly crafted modern French cuisine.

I came across this place while browsing Instagram and this place delivers on atmosphere, service and most importantly, the quality and presentation of the food.

On entering the restaurant, you're struck by the warmth and period feel of the entrance transitioning to the modern plush interior in a light filled dining and bar area. All very photo worthy. I noticed they also had an outdoor area.

The service is attentive, friendly and efficient - all throughout out time there, we were very well looked after and they always checked we were enjoying each course.

The food itself was some of the best modern french bistro style we've experienced - each dish was somehow unique and presented very well.

The highlights for us were the duck and chicken liver parfait (light with no bitter after taste served with perfected toasted bread and condiments) and the duck (lightly crisp skin served with macadamia and grape fruit which balanced the savoury jus).

Every dish, including the mille feuille to finish, were relished, savoured and thoroughly devoured.

It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday lunchtime. Thank you to the Charlotte Bar and Bistro team for making our day!!

We would definitely recommend and will return soon!

The worst food I ever had in Sydney.
The kingfish wasn’t fresh, the cream sauce could not mask the smell. I’m not sure why the chef insists on adding green to almost every dish, and the excessive butter is far from what I expect in French cuisine. The lamb cutlet, priced at $59, was disappointing—half of it was fat, and I have concerns with its odd bright green color. The food was too poor to properly critique.

Then there was the service. Behind the bar, I saw one of the staff members taste some wine and then loudly spit it into a sink used for discarding leftovers. It was so unpleasant that I nearly lost my appetite. The only redeeming factor of the lunch was the restaurant’s music.

truely amazing beef Wellington- wasn’t holding any expectation but turn out a lot better. Serve 4 and I think it’s enough with 3-4 sides. Pastry was crispy and steak were well cooked.
Beef tartare and chicken and duck parfait are good too.
Restaurant also a nice vibe and quiet, good for date night or friend gathering.
Free street parking after 6pm Monday to Friday or all day over weekend.

When you walked in the restaurant, you can smell the pastry which is very attracting. The vibe of the restaurant was very nice with elegant interior. Most of the staffs were nice, except one of them was a bit in hurry when we ordered.

Love the crab cake, very crunchy outside but soft and well seasoned inside. You can taste the crab meat which is very satisfying.

Sirloin steak was average and a bit tough and dry but the fries were very delicious.

Our family also ordered duck fillet and it tasted very delicious. The duck was perfectly cooked with the candied grapes which were very appetising.

Fish was fresh and nicely cooked. Very juicy and soft.

As soon as I entered the entrance, the dreamy experience had already started. I was mesmerised by the beautiful classic European interior. Greeted by a friendly staff, the highlight of the lunch was the authentic and delicate French cuisines. All dishes were amazing and can’t recommend enough. Such a nice gem in a lovely suburb in this harbour city.

My absolute favourite restaurant and we dine out often. I’ve visited Charlotte many times and each time they’ve consistently provided wonderfully warm and attentive service as well as extremely delicious and exquisite food. Each time I leave Charlotte, I think of when I can return. By far one of the best restaurants in Sydney.
