Mr. Lucky's is a charming little sandwich shop that instantly feels like home. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience enjoyable right from the start. Although there's no indoor seating, the outdoor picnic tables provide a nice atmosphere to enjoy your meal.

I tried the Mr. Lucky Sandwich, which had some standout elements. The Thousand Island mixed with mayonnaise was delicious, and the crunch from the fresh vegetables was fantastic. The bread was perfectly cooked, adding to the overall enjoyment. However, the roast beef was a bit bland, and I found myself digging through the veggies to find it—there just wasn’t enough meat for my taste.

I took my sandwich to a nearby park and paired it with a cane sugar root beer from the shop, which was a nice touch. While I might skip the Mr. Lucky Sandwich next time, I'm definitely looking forward to trying something new on my next visit. Overall, a great little spot worth checking out!

I hate to do this - but I ordered two turkey cheddar sandwiches and got two sandwiches with neither turkey or cheddar - just lettuce tomatoes onion. No meat or cheese at all. Paid $17 (edited)

I know I ordered correctly because I was reading from a colleagues order. I understand miscommunications happen but I called to fix the issue and they offered to “throw some turkey on there” if I brought it back… which isn’t permitted by food safety standards.

I liked coming here for lunch with colleagues but won’t be coming back.

Edit: It displayed $22 on the terminal and I didn't realize that included a 20% tip. I tipped $1 and I guess it adjusted the total down. I’m not trying to haggle over that - and also not trying to come back in and have turkey and cheese added to a half eaten sandwich. You did not offer to remake the sandwich.

The correct thing to do is to offer to remake it if you’re able to come back and if you’re not able to go back then refund the order.

I never leave reviews for anything but I just walked by this place and decided to try it out. I was suggested to get the santa fe with added bacon on it and was blown away at how good it was this is my new go to sandwich spot.

Reuben made with roast beef?!?! I ordered a reuben and an Italian sandwich directly off Mr. Lucky’s website and when it was delivered there was no pastrami anywhere to be found and the Italian was missing ham? The reuben was made with roast beef and the ham on the Italian was replaced with roast beef as well! I called to express my confusion and I was told, “the sandwich maker didn’t have ham or pastrami when making the sandwiches, and they were too busy to contact me about their inabilities to complete my order, so they just decided to sub roast beef for pastrami and ham” SERIOUSLY?!?!?! Don’t worry, the representative on the phone offered to make the sandwiches as advertised now that they had the correct ingredients, but they were still too busy to deliver it again! You deliberately sent the wrong food out and then had me waste 40 minutes to come pick up the correct sandwich? If you don’t have time to contact a paying customer when you can’t make what was ordered then you should stop taking online orders, or maybe you need to hire more competent staff/managers. I’m disappointed with the entire experience and I’ll never support Mr. Lucky’s again.

What a great spot! Ordered online to take on a hike, super fresh bread and ingredients. For the comments on smoke smell.. it’s next to a cigar shop, can’t control the sidewalk. Will definitely be stopping again!!

This experience is really a mixed bag. When they make your sandwich as ordered, it is delicious. The ingredients taste incredibly fresh and it’s just the perfect deli sub sandwich.

That being said, probably 25% of the time you won’t get exactly what you ordered. Today one of my sandwiches was on the wrong bread and the other was the wrong size. I always order avocado and it’s really a gamble whether it’ll actually be on my sandwich or not.

The service also leaves something to be desired. It’s not a good idea to come close to closing time - they are putting everything away 15-30’ before close and really don’t want to make any sandwiches at that point. I’ve also come before the posted closing time and found they were already closed. Even during regular business hours, I’d describe the experience as cordial at best.

There’s also usually very loud rap music (with explicit language) playing, which I happen to love but which definitely may not be for everyone.

GREAT sandwhich! Awesome music in this little shop (only takeout is available). Fast service. Great flavors on the santa fe and love a good wheat bread option. A bit expensive for the size (grand total about $14). My friend got the four cheese and loved it.

My experience at Mr. Lucky's today was unbelievable. From the moment we arrived, the employees made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. When my sister was ordering, the woman at the register was visibly annoyed by any modifications she requested. We then saw the drink fridge and decided to purchase drinks separately, which caused another visible disturbance. As the transaction was completed, the employees turned the music up to a deafening volume. I had to yell at the top of my lungs to get them to turn it down, as my sister was holding her one-year-old daughter. The whole experience was awful.

We were also greeted with a strong cigarette smell the second we walked in. Apparently, there is a cigar shop next door, but this was undoubtedly cigarette smoke, as if someone was smoking in the restaurant.

The sandwiches my family got were good. Hats off to the people who designed the menu, sourced ingredients, and baked the bread—but the service was completely inappropriate.
