tucked away on a quiet street, we went for lunch during peak hours on saturday. the sandwiches came out after a near 8 minute wait and it was worth it. we ordered the fried chicken sandwich , tuna melt and their glazed donut.

every bite of the tuna melt was full of filling and the sauces they used went really well with the tuna. For the chicken sandwich it was fried pretty well , very crispy on the outside but not enough to scratch the inside of your mouth and maintained the chickens moisture really well inside. The donut you just have to try it had a unique texture especially when you take a massive bite into it. Overall, highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for some food mid stroll or a day out.

The most delicious maple donut ? sometimes I just get the donut and not the sandwiches ☺️ but their beef and pickles with the special sauce and cheese is definitely a must try! Can never go wrong with their signature! They fried chicken with cheese is also absolutely scrumptious, the chicken is HUGE for the bun but the thigh is so juicy and well seasoned as well as crisp ?

Freshly made toasties! My fave so far is their tuna melt and mushroom melt. Their Beef and pickles is also good, don’t forget to ask for hectic sauce and cheese! But the pinnacle for me is their mouth watering Maple Glazed Donut.. perfectly baked squares, melts in your mouth maple glaze enjoy it with a side of coffee, perfect combo! I don’t have a sweet tooth but their donut has just the right amount of sweetness. Check them out!

First time trying hectors with my partner and it’s not bad. We got beef with pickles and mushroom. I’d say the beef with pickles tastes much better than the mushroom in my opinion. The beef with pickles is not too salty. When you bite into the bread the crust is crispy but not too hard, just perfect with soft bread inside. On the other hand, the mushroom was too strong for me. I am a mushroom lover and personally found it bit spicy as I’m not use to eating it with horseradish.

Outdoor tables are not bad. Service is also good. Coffee tasted a bit milky rather than coffee bean taste. Overall 4/5.

If you love a hearty sandwich, this is the one for you! Uncle’s Small Goods beef brisket was meaty and not gamey at all. The mustard pickle spread, dill pickles and kraut gave a nice spice and acidity to cut through the richness of the meat and cheese. All these goodness was held together by 2 pieces of toasted light rye.⁣

Another sourdough toastie that’s yummy ? This had mortadella, provolone, and mozzarella, making this sando really savoury but the acidity from the pickles helped as per usual. Instead of fresh tomatoes, they used tomato chutney so it was a bit sour and spicy. Would have liked for a bit of freshness from fresh tomatoes but I guess most toasties just aren’t built that way⁣

If the toasted sandwiches are too rich for your liking, they’ve got fresh sandwiches and salads too!

They also have a few outlets across Melbourne and we visited the one that’s in the Richmond area and relatively inside the residential area, which was nice because we got to see a different side of the city.

Got the tuna sandwich, was super good and filing, slightly spicy but adds a nice kick, well toasted with melty cheese and has a lot of tuna filling, super satisfying and would definitely get again!

Has a bit of seating at the side, order through the small window!

Excellent coffee and excellent sangas! Great selections and everything we tried was delicious. The highlight was the roast pork sandwich with some incredible spreads.

We will 100% be back and it’s the best sandwich we’ve had in Melbourne

First off, a big thank you is in order for the team's generosity for making me a new mocha that I accidentally spilt whilst waiting in queue for my sandwiches.

Hands down, THE BEST SANDWICHES I've had in the time period, well excluding my mum's sandwich. ? I highly recommend the Tuna Melt, Mushroom Melt and HPC.

Coffees were fantastically balanced. Obviously, dosing and extraction were on point.
