HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

Kosher Jewish deli/butcher shop/grocery/Café!!!!! The food is amazing! I had the hot pastrami and the vegetable soup and the potato dish all were equally delicious. Plenty of tables to sit down and eat your lunch. Extremely friendly people. Great customer service. Great value. Great quality.

I just love this place! Bob was a delight, Lana was so friendly. The marble rye is a must for homemade Reubens & corned beef and cabbage dinner. The bagel with nova spread was perfect, even baby loved it! She did not love the fake chicken noodle soup, she felt dooped...lol. An overall pleasure everytime we go!

I ate at Jo-El"s for the first time today. I only wish I had found Jo-El's 18 years ago when I moved to this area.

The food on a scale of 1-10 was a 20+, every single person working made us feel like family and I felt like I was in a kitchen that belonged to a family member.

Of course I took home the best cookies and Halvah that tasted like I remember. And rendered chicken fat to make an old recipe .

I can't wait to go back. The BEST.

This place is LEGIT! When you step into Jo-El’s it’s like you’ve stepped back in time in the best of ways. The people who work there chat and joke with you and are so sweet and helpful. The salt lox is the best I’ve ever had. I can’t stop thinking about how good it was. Also, the knish is exceptional. We weren’t even planning on buying any but they were warm from the oven and the dough was crisp, so the lovely charming lady talked us into two of them and they did NOT disappoint. Such an amazing meaty filling with hearty potatoes - like a hug from the inside! But seriously. Salt lox bagel platter. I’m coming back for you…
This place is memorable and charming and the food is incredible. Step back into a kinder time and get some food made with real love!

On their website they write that everyone feels like home at Jo-el's and that's exactly how we felt a minute after walking inside.

We were greeted warmly as we entered by the Joe the co-owner and every employee we passed made a point to greet us and warmly interact. The aroma of a real Kosher NY deli greets you as the door opens too.

We drove 2 hrs one way, from Orlando, to pick up essentials for our family members in Oklahoma who are longing for the real thing. We weren't disappointed!

Since the people behind the deli counter were preparing orders for others, Sharon the manager, arrived in a flash to ask how she could help. We had waited all of 2 minutes! She took our orders and made the connection with us right away further reinforcing how welcome we were and how much our visit was appreciated.

She LISTENED, not just to the details of the order, but to the chit chat and when she heard we had driven from Orlando she immediately made sure we knew they deliver to Orlando for the future.

Our lunch was delicious, freshly made and served at our table with kindness that is often missing in the fast paced world.

Even though it was getting close to closing time ever employ behind the deli counter took time to get our sliced meat, fish, and knish order right and prepared with care. No need to ask for the 3 lbs of corn beef to be packed in individual lbs it was done without asking.

As we were paying for our purchase the Joe asked if we wanted ice to keep the food chilled for our drive back to Orlando.

This goes on my list of places I wish I had discovered 15 years ago when we moved to Orlando from Louisiana instead of discovering it 2 days before we move from Orlando to Oklahoma!

The good news is my sister is coming from Oklahoma to Tampa for her daughter's destination wedding in April and she knows she has to make at least 1 visit to Jo-el's Kosher Deli while she's in town.

I could write a short story about how much we enjoyed our food, the shopping experience and the conversation but you really HAVE to go so you can feel the atmosphere and taste the food for yourself!!

Truly a hidden gem. First I would have to say how exceptional the staff is from the butcher to the cashier to the owners! My husband and I had a late trip towards close time and we were scared of the reactions but needed kosher food to eat and was tired of snacking on chips from generic stores. The nearest restaurant being more then an hour drive JO-EL’S was our only option. Not only are we greeted with smiles but my kids had the pleasure of performing a mitzvah with the help from staff. It was truly a remarkable down home feeling. A feeling of customer service that you would NEVER get from a store. I’ve been to many different kosher groceries and this is the only store that made me feel like I entered the living room of their home. So much so that the food is so good I HAVE to talk about Lana’s gefilte fish potato salad and her sweets! They’re planted all around the store. Look for the name SWEETLANA I honestly took home so many I had to do a double take and realize that the same Lana at the store that I had such a pleasure of getting to know was the same Lana who made the cake in the freezer section as well as the cookies on the counter. I will for sure be going back monthly for the gefilte fish and sweets by Lana. Oh and if you need an idea for the bagel crisp, I made bruschetta with mozzarella cheese and oh my was it a hit. By the way did I mention that SWEETLANA is parve! Don’t walk RUN for those cakes and cookies ?
