I don't get why this department exists. They do NOTHING. They are worthless. I called them so they could send someone to my neighbor's because they neglect their 4 dogs in their yard (no shelter, no water, no shade, no food for days). Later in the day the "animal control officer" calls and tells me I shouldn't be accusing people of animal neglect/abuse. I asked if she had gone to my neighbors' and she said "yes". I asked if she got to see the dogs she said "no". I asked why she was claiming I was wrongly accusing people of neglect if she didn't get to see the dogs. She said she couldn't verify it because it's not legal to look over private fencing. So, I asked again why she was harrassing me without proving me wrong. She then said she would have to get permission from the owners so she could go to the back yard. So, I asked if she asked my neighbors for permission. She said "no". Then, she said she had to get off the phone. If this is not an example of incompetence, and stupid behaviour, I don't know what is. You could probably train monkeys to do a better job than the imbeciles working for the San Angelo Animal Control. A few months later, I had problems with the neighbor's dogs barking all night. I asked for a "packet" from these people so I could file a complaint through the prosecutor's office. DO NOT WASTE your time. For the readers here that understand how limited in competence and intelligence its workers are, the prosecutor that handles these cases is just as useless. When you have to deal with people with inferior intelligence, all you get from them is a headache.

Don't live around there, but that's horrible. All shelters should be A NO KILL SHELTER, those puppies deserve a longer chance to get get adopted. ❤️

apparently by "wildlife removal services" they mean either pay $500 or basically have a raccoon trapped, showered, and ready to pick up for date night. absolutely useless to the point of a public health concern by putting whether or not i get rabies behind a paywall

There's currently a stray walking around the motel and it's been OVER 3 WHOLE HOURS since they arrived, every time I'm trying to walk past them, the dog keeps tripping me up and starts to lick my face every time I'm on the floor. Although I do find it cute I also find it very VERY annoying and I have had it with animal control taking forever arriving to the location. Terrible service. And another thing, there are some better places to bring stray animals around San Angelo than this piece of shit animal services bull crap.

First of all the employees do not care about you or what you are experiencing with wild dogs out on the loose while you are trying to be in your own yard. Do not speak with katherine she will hang up on you and be super unprofessional. She would not help me whats so ever when the dog is out on the loose and was trying to attack me in my own yard. I was able to call after the encounter and she said we cant do anything and then hung up on me when I asked if there was anything else they could do. This is the worst animal services san angelo could offer. They need to all be fired and hire people who actually care about the animals and the community! Super pathetic san angelo, do better!

I have called four times asking for them to come to my house to pick up these two strays who won't leave my porch. One is a pregnant female dog and other male. They attack us when we leave our house so we have to use a broom to shoo them away. They whine and bark and scratch at our door and have tried digging at our fence to get in our backyard. My three dogs haven't stopped barking at them for a week. Animal control keeps claiming they will come out to look at them but have not come once. They will lie over the phone so they can go back to ignoring the problems in the city.

These people are very nice. My call was returned within 15 minutes. A polite officer picked up an animal that I caught in a trap. I appreciate the promptness and caring that he showed to the animal. This is the second time that I have had to call this year. The service they have given has been exceptional both times.
