I enjoyed the Little Italy made to order sub sandwich. It was very tasty. Next time I will have to remember to ask for the bread to not be toasted. All in all a good sandwich. Check out the decor if you have time.

The food was good however with a large group (18), they had a hard time responding in a timely fashion. The only exception to this was the one person in the group that ordered a salad and one that ordered fish and chips. I certainly will return for the food and atmosphere, but with a much smaller group. There is a particular frustration when you see everyone around you getting their food and still nothing.... One hour to get the food. Not good.

Close to Virginia Tech. Great for a beer and sandwich. Many selections to eat. Lots of memorabilia, games on the TV. They do have daily and Happy Hour Specials.
Need to repair the booth seats very worn and missing pieces.
Think they have the same issues a lot of restaurants have, workers to stay on top of bussing.

The server was fantastic! Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. The chef did not cook it long enough to melt the cheese. The floor is very sticky. The temperature was freezing. My friends like to go here every year, I don't understand the appeal.

Good food; really fun atmosphere. My son and I stopped in for lunch before a scheduled visit with the university. I really enjoyed the bacon egg & cheese burger. My son ordered the godfather but just as a single serving as the waitress informed us that as ordered it would serve 4. Even the single serving was quite generous.

I've ordered from here over 10 times and have always thought the food was good. However, the last 5 orders have all had some mistake to them -- be it missing items (like sides) or incorrect items (regular fries vs. sweet potato fries) or an occasional subpar item (fried pickles that look dehydrated and haven't even been fried thoroughly). First few times I've let it go but last two times including yesterday I've tried contacting them with no response.

Staff is normally very kind in person and over the phone, the atmosphere is awesome, and the food that is correct tastes delicious. The knock in rating stems from the lack of consistency and accuracy of orders, especially online orders.

As regular customers to the Blacksburg Macados, our recent visit was a shock. Evidently, Macados thought it wise to let go two of the most attentive and hardest working bartenders around because they were good at their jobs of running a clean and inviting bar area. This upset some dining area associates for taking their customers, and potential tips. So they complained. The dining area is always hit or miss on service, whereas the bar area was always good. I've included photos of the bar area on our recent visit, and it's a train wreck and remained that way the entire time we were there. We watched numerous customers come in, look around, and walk out. I encourage Macados to bring back the two bartenders, apologize, and pay them for the off time. Otherwise, there's no reason to go back. This is nasty.

I've visited this restaurant at least three times, and everytime, the wait for food has been excessively long—between 2 to 2.5 hours. There was one visit, however, when I dined with a white friend, and the service was noticeably better. While I'm unsure if this was an isolated incident, I’ve heard similar stories from other international students, which raises some concerns.
During my most recent visit, they forgot the dressing for my salad, and our meals were served at different times. To make matters worse, no cutlery was provided, and when we asked for it, the server questioned if we actually needed it. How do you eat Fish and Chips with your hands?
