I enjoy visiting the English Shop and defend the prices as it is a matter of choice! In my view worth paying for some items. Sausages are very good and the pork pies. Always a friendly welcome. Great admiration for keeping going through very rough times over the past few years. X

Just a great shop, run by the loverly Jane, for those times when you are craving for a proper curry, or perhaps a warburtons crumpet, or a chunk of cheshire with a pickled onion, even our own favorite childhood rowntree's pastilles. What would we do without this edifice to english cuisine.

Great place to go for those products you miss with a good selection across all price ranges.
Also, it's only fair to point out, in response to some comments below regarding pricing, that these sausages and pies are hand made from local products. It's not right to compare that with mass manufactured bacon or sausages from factories, wherever they're located.

Had everything I wanted. Took 2.5 hours to get there but was worth it. Only a small shop but well stocked. Totally impressed. Much the same. Still good

Great store, nice lady, a good selection of nostalgic groceries, we bought sausages, bacon, scotch eggs and pork pies, along with Tunnocks caramel wafers that took a beating on the way home. Do we need any of this, probably not but it is a nice reminder of a previous life before emigrating to France. If your passing its worth a stop and the town is quite pretty.

An excellent selection of run-of -the-mill British products some of which are available in our local supermarkets. Friendly and helpful lady runs it. We went particularly in search of a turkey for Xmas but they were sold out. They needed to be ordered by July! We did buy a number of items and loved the town of Eymet but wouldn't make a special trip to return to this shop.

I don't like this shop. First of all it is ridiculously expensive. Most of the prices are not displayed which is always a worrying sign. Things such as Heinz beans,HP sauce, Pataks Curry sauces, Branston Pickle and others are all available at either Leclerc or Auchan for about half the price.I bought some sausages. More than 7 euros for 6 sausages and these sausages are not imported, they are made locally so there are no taxes or transport costs involved. In addition I saw upon arriving home that the sausages bought on 18th august had an eat-by date of 5th August. Okay they were frozen, but frozen when? Before the 5th? I somehow doubt it.
