This was my first time at Blue Boys. I had been recommended to this joint a couple of years ago and finally made time to get there. The two ladies working took care of me and were very helpful when it came to the ordering process. Blue Boy has a homey feeling, like a burger my mom made, and I felt very welcomed. It was nice seeing older people eating there, knowing they probably have a sense of loyalty to the establishment. I had the double Duval burger and I’ll be returning soon. In my 28 years, this has for sure been one of the greatest burgers I’ve ever eaten in my life, no exaggeration. I can’t wait to bring friends here that are visiting Jacksonville. LOVE!

We were impressed by the food here. My husband ordered the Puertorican Tripleta and was awesome. I got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, which was pretty good, too. Will definitely go back.

I’ve never in my life had a restaurant call me bavk because they missed my call! That alone speaks volumes to the dedication and commitment to customer service. I couldn’t believe it when I answered the phone and it was Blue Boy’s calling me back and apologizing for not being readily available to me. How amazing, what an outstanding experience. I even received a discount just for paying with cash, they really outdid themselves.

This place always, ALWAYS, serves high quality and delicious food. The bread just on its own is so good... warm and fluffy and FRESH! I'm a sucker for the breakfast sub (bacon, egg and cheese with mayo) and the sub is seriously enough for four people to get a good size piece and it's like home cooking, so GOOD! If you don't do a happy dance when you bite into that, I dunno what you're doing with your life. Laid back atmosphere inside, you should definitely read the article about the family who owns it, it's on the wall by the tables. Oh, and order the cherry limeade!!

Such a disappointment!! Ordered the famous #8 more bread than meat, no seasoning just great peppers,whomever is now running the place you can tell it isn’t the originals‼️

Sooo sad to see Blue Boys service has gone straight down the tube. We have always enjoyed Blue Boys and have taken time to drive across town but today is the last time we will ever step foot at this establishment. Ordered 2 sandwiches nothing complicated and waited for our food and NOTHING! When we noticed a couple of people who ordered after us getting their food, I went to ask what the hold up was. The clerk says OH you had a huge line in front of you. I asked how when I placed and paid for my order at 1250pm. There was only 2 couples and a single person in front of us. At this time only one of couples ahead of us received their food and left. Almost everyone after us were receiving their food. The clerk then says oh we'll make yours now. No I'd like a refund, manager comes up and says "oh well you have to pay for those drinks." He didn't apologize or even try to make it right. Such a shame!!!

As always you can't beat the subs at Blue Boys! The special prices needs to be readily understable. Cash and credit card are different prices? Awesome place to eat still!!

I have so many memories of this place.I haven't been here in years and nothing about the warm and welcoming feeling changed. People are still wonderful and the food is still the same as I remember. Bread is different, still good. Truly a historical part of this town and great example of our city. Next visit will be soon, guaranteed! I got the turkey, ham and cheese (no tomatoes) and he got the monster burger.
