FIRST VISIT: We’re visiting family in Chattanooga for the Christmas holiday. While out shopping, we decided to stop by Champy’s for lunch. We’re so glad we did. Our waitress was very kind, and the food was delicious. We ordered the chicken and waffles (served until 2 PM only), the fried chicken salad, and the buffalo chicken chunks plate. All of our dishes were great. My wife (who eats a lot of salads) even said that the fried chicken salad here may be the best she’s ever had. That’s saying a lot, folks. If you’re near this location or one of their many others, check them out. Tell them Brian Millican sent you … although they will have no clue who you’re talking about (LOL).

This place is wild. From the crazy exterior to great atmosphere inside. And the food... fantastic. They say their chicken is the best in Tennessee and they may be right.

Stopped by to watch the game and eat some dark meat chicken. Ordered 3 piece dark with tater salad and baked beans. I was served a two piece that was so hot with grease that it burned the hair off my tongue! The waitress was so interested in her boyfriend’s phone that it took some doing to grab her attention. I did get attention with a verbal shoutout. She said she’d get me another piece and did, after 10 minutes. The problem there is, tater salad and beans were eaten and gone by then. The sides were excellent and the chicken was average. Batter could use more spice; copy Gus’ Fried chicken batter. It’s a decent chicken joint, just pushing the price points for the level of quality.

The food we ordered was pretty good. Pricing was ok as well. We had been here once before and it had been such a long time so we thought we would stop in to grab us a quick bite to eat and enjoy the outdoorsy atmosphere. The server wasn't so attentive but she was there when it mattered. Food was hot and the wait wasn't long. Really enjoyed being here although a few things could have been better but nothing to say we wouldn't return to eat here again.. hope you guys enjoy

They have the most paper thin catfish in the world. Honestly, they might as well have just gave me breading. The hush puppies were so burnt they were inedible. The fried green tomatoes were over done. At least the fried pickles and sweet tea were good!

Savannah was our hostess; she has excellent customer service! She was very friendly, helpful, and considerate of helping my family. Summer was our waitress; she was quick, efficient, and hard working. I have never seen either of them stop to take a break while I was there. I will definitely be coming back! Thank you Champys!

We were visiting Chattanooga when we decided to try this place. It was good! My husband and I shared a catfish platter and a chicken liver plate. They were both cooked very well but could've used a bit more seasoning. Our waitress was phenomenal, and we loved the chill vibe here! If you're going to drink beer here, just go ahead and get the 40! It's plenty to drink and a very decent price! We both agreed we would definitely eat here again!

Had a pretty awful experience at this restaurant tonight. We were seated but never waited on. We waited for approximately 15- 20 minutes before we even greeted and asked about our drink orders. I ordered a water husband and ordered a tea she came back with two waters. Now I know many places are busy and we gave the benefit of the doubt but when I single white male was seated right next to us his drink order was taken immediately. Why am I waiting.....we explained to the waiter that we would need to cancel our order a d to speak to a manager. I spoke to Morgan, and she apologized but never said anything to explain why we would have needed to wait that long to just be greeted. Never again.
