I came here to buy halibut for my husband’s birthday. Little did I know it was going to be one of my favorite places to buy food. He told me it was the best halibut he’s ever eaten. We have also discovered their sushi. It is so fresh and delicious. This place is a hidden gem – perhaps hiding in plain sight, but for anyone who loves fish and sushi, it is a must visit. My kind thanks to our sushi chef, who made sushi on the spot for us.

It's finally open!
Check out the scallops (in the photos) - they are legit. Look how thick they are! Their to-go sushi is very tasty as well and a good number of pieces per order. Nice variety, too.
All their fish are very fresh. Workers are very friendly as well. Glad to see they're open and fresh seafood in our area.

Their smoked salmon is divine- perfectly sliced, amazingly fresh(even though it's smoked), and wonderful flavor. I've switched from Shelsky's in Cobble Hill to Fjord. Fjord's pre-made sushi offerings are also high-quality and a great deal, with generous, thick cuts of fish on each sushi piece. Highly recommend.

Waiting a while for this place to open, as I am seafood junkie, nice open, layout, everything is clean, very friendly service, but a few too many strikes for me to give 5 stars. Its the first couple weeks for them, so hopefully they will figure out the process a bit better, who takes orders, who runs register, orders being sent to the kitchen etc. Order: lobster roll, 1 dozen little necks 1.5 pounds king salmon. I was initially overcharged by 31 dollars, upon me recognizing this, "saying it shouldn't be that much" I was told, well you ordered an expensive fish. 29.99 a pound 1.5 pounds king salmon, 20 dollar lobster roll, and 12 little necks at .75 cents each. Bill after tax should have been 76, i was told 107. Different worker spotted the error and corrected it thankfully.. honest mistake, but still a mistake charging 40% extra. The Connecticut lobster roll was right, sweet succulent meat, nice toasted hot dog roll and delicious melted butter. When I arrived home I began to prepare the clams, bath of pepper to make them sneeze to clean them, a little butter little garlic and in the broiler. You aspect that for every 30 clams maybe you get 1 that won't open, but out of my 12, there were 2 that would not only not open but that were dead. Picture enclosed. 2 out of a dozen is a bit to many, in fairness the other clams were very good. Haven't made the salmon yet, so the jury is still out.
I want to cheer for this place, and I hope they do get it right as there is alot of potential there, but for now I'm not sure if I can return here until I feel there has been significant improvement.

The seafood is superb and the service is impeccable. We go here for sushi grade items: salmon, scallops, tuna, uni, etc.

Jeff is a great manager. He literally remembers every customer.

Update 6/25/24: I emailed Fjord on 6/12/24 as they requested and haven't received a reply.

My boyfriend and I stopped by today and picked up a 1lb filet of monkfish and a dozen little neck clams for dinner. Upon unwrapping it when we got home, it smelled really unpleasant. The filet was basically rotten and inedible. Was really disappointed considering the clams were great. We liked that Fjord had a large variety of what seems like quality seafood, but we'll be more discerning next time.

I love this addition to the neighborhood. I went here yesterday hoping to buy a Branzino for a seafood dinner--the person at the counter was very knowledgable about seafood and how to prepare the different fish they offered. I ended up buying and cooking the most delicious black sea bass instead, based on his recommendation. I was SO happy with the quality of fish and the advice. Would highly recommend this shop.

It's a very modern fish shop with a beautifully laid out display of fresh fish, sushi, prepared sauces, cold and hot soups, and other nibbles. You can get lobster dinners and more.
