Heard so many good things about this place and finally getting to go was well worth it! The food is amazing. If you are expecting subway, no no no. These Sammies are packed and so well worth it. They even asked if I wanted half of my foot long wrapped up, I get why now. I finished it, but wow. Super think sandwich and great tasting!!! Go a little further down to the bar and get some beer. Great selection for sure and everything from the Sammies to the beer is inexpensive. Cash only to give you heads up but there is an ATM inside. So worth it!!!!

Super cute mom n pop type of place. Service was pretty good 👍. There is not a lot of sitting room, but the food was good and reasonably priced. Lunch time, the line is out the door. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience. Next time we are in Gainesville, we will definitely stop back in.

Times are tough and times are hard, here's your freakin' Christmas card! That popped into mind being a longtime off-and-on Hogan's sandwich enjoyer over almost two decades now.

While still fresh and delicious, unfortunately shrinkflation has struck in the form of less meat, fewer toppings, and sides just shy of what you'd expect weight wise from the menu for the price.

White bread was fresh, and size wise the foot long #2 (the LeBeau for old school fans who remember the joint's colorful history and copyright beef with a certain greedy TV studio back in the day) was a solid lunch. Halved six-inch pictured plus a side view of the goods. Sour cream based red potato salad was good, but I didn't care for the slaw which was kind of a cool mess. At two bucks for under half a pound each, no biggie.

Despite this, still competitive with a local chain or few and worth the drive across town for me. Side note, I'm setting a countdown in the back of my head to see if the dead looking coin-op Galaga arcade machine in front of the register either comes back to life or sees some DIY retrogamer snag it someday.

This place is a gem! Best sandwich in Gainesville! It's a once a week stop for us. Pressed & sweet peppers are a must. Cozy and old-school atmosphere. The corners, tile, and such could def use a good cleaning, but kinda easy to overlook when the sandwiches are SO good..

Great local place. Bar and deli. Subs, sandwiches and salad are all top notch. Definitely must try if you're in the area and are looking to pick up sit and watch a game.
Cash only but there is an ATM on-site.

Best sub shop in Florida, just remember to bring CASH. Great food and got the Gator Baseball game in the World Series on the radio. Pic is of 1/2 of a 8-inch pastrami and corned beef (cold), so good and excellent portions!

1st timer. Average price is about $10. The sandwich overall was good, bread was good, meat was good, it's all about what you put in the sandwich. It's a hole in a wall local treasure. HOWEVER. My biggest complaint is waiting 45 mins for a sandwich. Good place if you have time. Bad place to go to lunch during work. This is as honest as you'll get.

Was quiet when we went in this time, can get quiet busy. Food was fresh and super good! In my personal opinion the meatball sub has no rivals!!! 😜 But really you cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. Plus there’s the bar where you can have various choices both on tap as well as bottled etc. And service with a smile 😊
