This is where I paid for fines or traffic violations. Residing Judge Gilbert gave me a break when I had to take my daughter before him for fighting in school. All other parties involved were all female.I was in uniform from work.He actually was a prudent nonsense type person and could scare folks by his demeanor. My daughter only received a fine and grounded from her mother's privileges.I don't know who is Judge now. This building is right next door to police station and the river.Food King is across the street and City Park just a block away as well. Its all interconnected to downtown SanAngelo and river walk.Sanangelo has zero tolerance for traffic violations and laws. That is why I walk more than operate a 2,500 lb.vehicle.

Citizens receiving speeding tickets are given 15 days to pay their fine. The tickets are written manually and if the issuing officer does not put it in the system, it eats into YOUR time. The city management should extend the payment period to 30 days to prevent unnecessary issuance of warrants for unpaid fines. I received mine four days ago, I will call daily until it is updated in the system and to take up as much of their time as possible.

Absolutely horrible, they have no email so if you're from out of state and get a ticket you're out of luck, they make it as difficult as possible to pay a ticket and then put out a warrant if you don't. Only open until 430 so it's almost impossible to get a hold of them if you don't have a normal work schedule. This entire city is corrupt and absolutely ghetto, everyone working here or in the police department needs to be fired.

So I got a packet from Animal Control so I could file a complaint about my neighbor's dogs barking all night through the prosecutor's office. Big mistake. I talked to the prosecutor and she took me on a wild goose chase telling me I needed to fill out more and more logs of when the dogs bark besides of the several pages that I had already mailed. I called her and asked her when I was going to get her to do something about it and I couldn't be filing out logs forever. I even told her that cops had been called many times and that they had been writing "call notes" on their patrol computers. These "call notes" can easily be accessed by them; the records division; and competent prosecutors. She said she would request them. To make a long story short, she didn't do anything and claimed that there was nothing there. She seemed very confused and lost. I asked her why she didn't know how to access information if everybody else could. She said "I don't know", but then immediately got mad and asked: "Sir, what do you want me to do?"....."How can I help you today?" LOL.. seriously I told her I only wanted her to do her job and she went on a rant about civil cases so I reminded her that I was not calling about that. She told me about the city ordinance on noise so I told her I already knew about it and I wasn't calling for her to recite it to me. She then asked if the dogs were neglected or abused, I said yes. She then told me that she didn't handle that....LOL......Needless to say, she began to give me a headache with her random nonsense. All she had to do is tell me from the very beginning that she wasn't going to do anything because she doesn't know how to do her job and because she doesn't stay focused on any one topic since she obviously has issues concentrating. If that would have happened, I wouldn't have wasted my time writing books of logs of times and dates when the dogs bark.

This whole system is completely messed up. You can’t deal with the court system quickly or conveniently. It’s just not possible. Always have to take an excess amount of time out of your day to deal with the messed up system in place. Terrible.
