Actually most people who are unhoused are fair and decent people who will not harm you in the park. They're safe to be around & its generally okay in San Julian Park. However it is skid row and there needs to be a warning that you know you do need to be careful and be aware of your surroundings, but you know I'm not saying don't go down there. I'm saying I do go down there all the time I was just in San Julian Park yesterday... the photos are of a Thursday noon food giveaway and a kind of introductory visit, usually with some survey taking to learn about food attitudes and opinions in San Julian park by LACAN with me & other volunteers.... this is also to thank the volunteers for all their help, they've been wonderful especially through covid...

San Julian Park is a bustling cultural center with charity, social, and Christian events happening regularly, (which is a perk). Over time, I've met and became face-to-face familiar with some of the people at the park; and it's good to build ties in the community, for a person like me. I'm very thankful for this park being here. There's restrooms, too!

It's not really a touristy place, as of yet; beyond locals, I'd say, as it is impacted, (as an area) by many of the homeless population, and perhaps it'll simply take some time for other people to come in and celebrate like the locals do.

Full of homeless people. A mix group of people. You have to be moved by the poverty and need in this community. A great country like ours should not allow this kind of injustice.

Went to this park with Family, to enlighten kids about homelessness, poverty, drug addiction, suffering and people having a nice time. The music was encouraging, inspiring and realistic for the needs of all of Gods people, even Alicia and Felicia had a nice time worshiping God. They are learning to be non-judgmental, understanding and compassionate towards others and we love this Spirit in them! Great day and great music. Thank God for the people who cared enough to show their love.
