This is a place is GREAT! U really get great food. And it is a bamg for your bunk! I spent 45 bucks for a gaint burrito 2 birria quesadilla and 2 carne asada tacos. All packed with flavor ? their salsas are banging! And the amount of food u get is great for what u pay! And the women that work there and cook are just awesome!

Just a heads up this taqueria is located inside the gas station store and has no indoor seating. It ended up being such an incredible find during our stop- I would give them 100 stars if I could. The servers were cheerful, polite & very helpful. They have specials on certain days of the week like taco Tuesday, burrito Wednesday and quesabirria Thursday ?

We got the adobada burrito & quesatacos with adobada. Absolutely loved it. At first this was going to be a short stop just to get gas on our way but we liked it so much we ended up stopping here a second time on the journey back. Thank you for the yummy food!

I highly recommend Taqueria San Mateo for your next party catering service! Gabby was pleasant, informative and easy to work with. The food was delicious! We got Asada, Pollo and Adobada as our meat options, a variety of condiments and best of all the Aguas Frescas. My favorite and our guests was the Pepino con Limón! Set up was clean, organized and professional which is exactly what we wanted. Thanks for providing excellent service, pricing and food! We will definitely hire again and recommend to friends and family.

Fantastic food. Highly recommend. To go orders and when you order on Door Dash, they package your food up very nicely. Everything is neat and organized and nothing is messy or falling apart or spilled over. Hands down best organized packaging for to go orders. Amazing salsa variety. Highly recommend the quesabirria tacos and the consommé. The mulitas are delicious. Fantastic carne asada tacos and tortas. Highly recommend! Wonderful food and fantastic service.

Very delicious... drove from north Fresno to Taqueria San Mateo came highly recommended by a T-mobile representative. They also have agua fresca we got pineapple because it's what they had available. But they do make other flavors. Highly recommend - it's a hidden gem inside Valero gas.

They catered my daughter wedding and the food was delicious! The guests commented that it was the best tacos they had had. Portions were plenty and I loved the extra veggies on the side! Highly recommend!
