I used to live in Tampa in the late 90s/early 00s and came here all the time. Came back to visit the area today and the first place I stopped is The Cuban Sandwich Shop. It's literally the thing I miss most about living by in Tampa. The roast pork is my fav and years later, it still is. The Cuban sandwiches are delightful, as well. Honestly, I've not been disappointed with any food I've ordered here ever.

Great spot of Cuban sandwiches! Best in Tampa. It's been here forever, it's always packed for lunch and the servers do a fantastic job! My husband and I go usually at least twice a week for lunch. Prices are very affordable as well. We can both get stuffed for around $35 with the tip. Highly recommend!

Place was pretty filthy walking in. Charged me $34.00 for two breakfast sandwiches. Said it was an additional $8 because I asked for two additional eggs on each sandwich, which I did not. Food was terrible. Really run down location that used to be decent years ago when Ford/Lincoln was across the street.

If I could give 0 I would!! Let me start off with I don’t like bad leaving reviews. Yesterday we stopped in!! My 16 & 15 year old daughters wanted Cubans!! My 16 year old had a gift card from earlier this year from a birthday!! She OFFERED to pay for the food. She didn’t have to but she chose to!! Food it’s gone down hill. This is my husband’s to go place for breakfast and sandwiches!! Now is where I am fuming!! She used said card for 40 dollar purchase including a tip for take out food!! This location was the last purchase before next purchase. Later in the day she wanted to purchase something with this said card!! Tried to buy items card declined!! Wait what she called to check balance before going to said store she had over 50 something dollars left on said card!! You have thief’s working for you and have a gambling problem. The last big purchase made was at your location!! I will post receipts!! Yes times are hard if it was my money alone I would chalk it up and just eat the money taken!! You might have needed it more than me! I’m pissed because my child was stolen from. The embarrassment she had trying to by items for Christmas. She had 2.43 left one the card and I covered the rest!! Your establishment will never ever get my business again!! Thief’s in your business is what you are!! That you let work for you!! If this gets removed I keep posting this same post!! I wonder how many other people who used any type of card has been stolen from!!

These are not Cuban sandwiches. Just a regular American cold cut sandwich on Cuban bread. And they call it a Cuban sandwich. Just like the rest of Tampa's "Cuban sandwiches." As someone that moved here from Miami and was looking for a taste of home. I was very disappointed. I have yet to find a Cuban sandwich in Tampa that compares to any in Miami. 😮‍💨

This place is so good. I’ve ordered catering for our work Christmas party for the past 2 years and the food is always a huge hit. I even spilled the beans this year (literally) and they gave me new beans at no charge. Thanks guys

I tried to ignore the reviews & give it a shot. However, this is not authentic Cuban cuisine. I ordered a Café con Leche. It tasted like coffee found in a break room. Is this the blend sold @ Sam’s club When I couldn’t smell the espresso aroma in the restaurant or see the machine steaming the milk fresh. I should’ve known. It was lukewarm & just awful.
Second item:
“Cuban cheese toast” the bread was soft, however the cheese tasted & smelled old & like it was stored too long in the fridge or close too the deli meat. Will not return. La Teresita or anywhere but here will continue to be my Cuban restaurant of choice.
