The portions were so big and the food tasted amazing!! Reminded me of my mom’s favorite recipes .. Salsa music playing in the background .. it was the real deal!! ❤️

The first visit and the shop is so welcoming. You can tell this is a family run business and they love to do what they do.

Lots of interesting options but I ordered the combo with stewed beef. The rice, stew, beef, and plantains all hit the spot perfectly. I will be back often.

Lots of in and outdoor seating, by the way.

This is my first time ever having Puerto Rican food and it is amazing. I got a combination platter of rice (arroz con grandules I think), steak and peppers, and plantains. The rice is the most flavorful rice I've ever had. It has little crisp bits and the texture of it is incredible. The steak and peppers were admittedly a little cold but still had some pretty good flavor. The plantains felt hot and fresh and juicy. I also got a pincho and that is also just really, really good. Peak food

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also really nice. I can't speak on it much as I don't know what Puerto Rican culture is like but it felt very homely and I could just tell a lot of love and care went into decorating the place.

It's like a quick trip to the island. You'll see hand crafted decor and hommage to places around the Island such as La Placita in Santurce and the surf board that reminds me of Domes Beach in Rincon. I got rice with gandules, fricasee of beef cubes with potatoes and yuca, it was fresh and delicious. Their mofongo is one of the best I've had.

It’s one of those places that you can eat everyday! Service, food, great. Tried the mofongo with carne frita, yummy, good flavor crunchy and tasty and to top it off a great tres leches… now, back to the treadmill!!!

Nice, clean location. It was 4 of us, everyone was very happy with they meals. Will definitely visit again. The chef ?‍? is definitely Latino. Food is the best in Capital District for Puerto Rican food.

I am so happy that my partner and I finally stopped and made the decision to eat here. There aren’t many places that truly sell authentic Puerto Rican food.

After my Puerto Rican grandmother passed away, there is a lot less Spanish-speaking in my household, and though my family has tried to uphold her legacy in the kitchen, they will never be her.

When I eat here, I feel like the food does my heritage and my grandma justice. The atmosphere looks like old San Juan. Spanish music is quietly playing in the background and the smell of the food is heavenly.

My partner and I have so far tried two pastillios (or empanadas in my household?) - the beef and the chicken. They’re addicting. They are very large and extremely filling. I was also surprised to see that they sold bacalaitos. Not many places do and the flavor is phenomenal here.

We have also tried the barbecue chicken on a stick. Happy last minute decision! The rice, though may look dryer than what I’m used to, is packed with flavor.

Of course, you always have to end the meal with the delicious dessert. I got the last tres leches today in the fridge - bless. There were no crumbs left behind.

I wish I could learn more about the owners! The female seems quiet and reserved and I haven’t met the male in the kitchen, but I hope to learn more the more they do!
